A giveaway!

A few months ago, I posted some items we always have on hand in our pantry. Apparently, if you link a lot in posts you get two things: attention from said linked company and spam. Oh wait, three things. Remember when I insulted that author...? Oops. In this case, I got attention from someone at Rudi's Organic Bakery in Colorado.

To say we eat a lot of Rudi's bread is a huge understatement. I think we eat more weekly(3-4 loaves) than your average family of five as Sean takes two sandwiches to school every single day. The kids have been requesting ham sandwiches (upon finding nitrate free pork at a reasonable price) every day as well.

Our Rudi's bread of choice is the Nut & Oat version. NOTE: READ LABELS. Especially if you have allergies. Rudi's uses ingredients that you can pronounce and luckily, we aren't allergic to anything. We chow down with reckless abandon. Just ask my lil friend, Emerson. Scary mom moment and the realization that I reeeeeally need to pay attention when we have guests with peanut allergies. We also like the Whole Wheat, 7 Grain and Colorado Wheat, and their English Muffins are Simon's #1 breakfast request.

On to the giveaway! Rudi's said I can give away one of these prizes packages to a reader. :) Just comment and I'll pick a random winner. Not so many commenting these days, but my readership is up, so this might be an interesting way to pull people out of the woodwork. :) An art kit, sketch pad, beret, reusable bag and two product coupons. My kids would so fight over this!

Rudi's Organic Bakery has partnered with Chef Ann Cooper, the Renegade Lunch Lady, to revolutionize school lunch for kids everywhere through Let's Doodle Lunch. Earlier this summer, Rudi's Organic fans were invited to upload artwork on Facebook to receive a reusable sandwich box featuring that design on the lid. July 1st through July 31st when fans submit their first vote for their favorite design, they will receive a $0.75 coupon good for any Rudi's Organic product, and Rudi's Organic will donate $1 to Chef Ann's The Lunch Box.

The design that receives the most votes on Facebook by the end of the July will be named the Rudi's Organic Official Sandwich Box. The grand prize winner will receive a year supply of Rudi's Organic bread, a $100 Target gift card for school supplies, a $150 Whole Foods gift card and a year
subscription to KIWI magazine.

From Aug. 1 to Sept. 30, Rudi's Organic fans can send in three proof-of purchases to receive a free Rudi's Official Sandwich Box featuring the winning design. Rudi's Organic will donate $1 to The Lunch Box for every Rudi's Organic Official Sandwich Box ordered. The free sandwich box is the perfect on-the-go option to carry a sandwich made with Rudi's Organic's new line of Sandwich and Bagel Flatz. All Flatz are made with recognizable organic ingredients and are free of ingredients like high fructose corn syrup, artificial chemicals and preservatives, and GMOs. Plus, they're packed with nutrition. All of the Flatz are 110 calories or less per serving, as well as 3-5 grams of fiber and 23-25 grams of whole grains (in the Sandwich Flatz and Whole Wheat Bagel Flatz) per serving. It doesn't hurt that they're an oh-so-tasty choice for lunch, too, from PB&Js to a layered turkey and cheese sandwich with veggies.

To learn more about The Lunch Box and how to get involved and support the organization's various programs, fans can text "Lunch" to 50555.

I want the beret, or the art kit, or the attention...I'm so confused! (We met at the park in Flo, with Hope one day; I knew I would really like you should we get to ever hang out for real. Second best is stalking you on the internet--as I've been doing for months!)
